If there is an artist who completely
dedicates his career to his city, it is
well of the Fecamp native painter François
Burel that we speak of, whose works, all
techniques included, are devoted to his
environment from the Pays de Caux, of
which numerous paintings are perfumed
with delicious and exhilarating sea air.
All these sensations are the fruit of
a remarkable unity of conception, as much
by the movement, under a harmonious structure
accentuated by sublime verticals and spaces
altered with expertise while beautiful
effects rhythm the production of this
goldsmith of light.
No hesitation, nor insipidness in François
Burel’s work. Only a luminous poetry
reflects the vitality of the marinas and
the shores in large compositions which
the artist can decorate with relish with
the roundness of reassuring female presences.
His gestural instinct comes very close
to abstraction sometimes, but his bright
and enthusiastic love for the living beings
and the sceneries brings him back to his
luminous blue, to his generous glimmer
of gold and fire, full of sensitivity
and harmony, of research and reflections.
Accordingly, François Burel represents
devotion to painting in the most sincere
and structured way that one can find in
this brilliant universe of art.
